WORKSHOPS FOR JOB READINESS

 
   

Programs will utilize a job readiness curriculum with its customers. The job readiness curriculum focuses on building and enhancing skills for work and life. Its contents include attitude, responsibility, communication, decision-making/problem solving and preparing for the workplace.

    As customers are attending the curriculum classes, the Welfare-to-Work Workforce Development Case Manager provides case management and, with the customer, identifies strengths and milestones to work on, identifies barriers to employment and creates an Individualized Service Plan to coordinate actions to be taken. Consistent review of these Individualized Service Plans will occur to track milestone achievements, difficulties that arise and future goal planning.
